I already have the vinyl and American CD. Only reason I bought it was because of the different LP cover and there are a few different selection the US release didn't include. The price was pretty fair compared to other sellers...
Read this in 2 hours, simplistic and boring. More about the authors interpersonal relationships with his fellow travelers then traveling in India.Almost read like a YA novel.
Fast read. Definitely covers "the vibe" of India, travellers and hippies in the era I remember (late 90s).
I was expecting an entertaining novel, but was quite disappointed by the stereotypes about India and love stories.
The book is about traveling, so I supposed it`s fitting that it works very well as a travel read. I read the bulk of it on a 13 hour flight to Japan, and it set the stage well for my travels.Sutcliffe does a very good job of expressing the feeling I often have when I`m done with a trip: that I`m glad I did it, but I don`t know if I would want to go through the whole experience again.That said, much of the book seemed like it was missing something. The story is told from a first person perspective, which generally gives the reader a wonderful insight into the narrator. However, in this case, I never felt like I truely understood the narrator. Close at times, but never quite fully there.
This book surprises me, as it is not a more sough after read by people. Absolutely funny as hell! I highly recommend.
I bought this book thinking it was for guitar, but as soon as I got the book I knew it was exclusively for drums. I was very disappointed obviously, and sent it back a few days later.However, I did look through it and have to say the drum transcriptions are pretty spot on; only Mitch himself could have written better parts. So if you are looking for DRUM tabs only for this album, then look no further.I still think it is a little misleading to not list this book as, "Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced (Drum Tab)."That would save many peoples' time, and not piss off anyone looking for a guitar tab.Amazon: PLEASE CHANGE THE TITLE OF THIS PAGE!!
