I just finished reading the book written by Brigette Hyacinth "Purpose Driven Leadership.†a book worth its weight in gold. A very well organized, very concise and precisely written book, that goes beyond what I have learned in my masters program, where we learned different types of organizations, team building, and retaining individuals with specifics skill set, etc. This book is organized in three Sections.Section One is made up of chapters one trough six.Starting with chapter one deals with examining the type of individuals that make up a team, there ten types presented. In my career as a consultant, I have worked with every one of these people, starting with Team Lead, Proficient, Team Player, Achiever, Veteran, Wisenheimer, Apprentice, Militant, Freeloader, and Individualist. It describes how to handle each one of these personas as a leader, and how to get the most out of each of these individuals.“Leadership: The art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it.†-Dwight D. EisenhowerChapter two deals with how to build a strong and resilient team. It covers some important concepts for any kind team building; specifically it defines a common model for building teams, which was developed by B. W.
